Welcome to FPYC Basketball 2026-2027 season

FPYC Basketball is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the players, parents, coaches, officials, Board Members and FCPS staff who support the league.

Registrations costs and discount details:

• Skills Clinics (Fall, Spring and Summer): $200.00 per clinic. No scholarships or discounts.
• House League (Winter): $195.00. A limited number of scholarships are available at $75 for players who qualify. Volunteer coaches get $50 off with a code. Sibling discount is $25.00.
• Select Travel League: $245.00. A limited number of scholarships are available at $150 for players who qualify. Volunteer coaches get $50 off with a code. Sibling discount is $25.00.
• Summer Rec League: $125.00.

Important Dates: A $45 late fee begins November 1, 2026, and winter registration closes December 1, 2026.

Scholarship Opportunities

Online registration for the FPYC Basketball winter season is now open. Players who take part in the Federal Free Lunch program at school or have a Medicaid card can get reduced rates. There are only 50 scholarships league-wide, and they are for the winter season only. Scholarship players pay $75 for House or $150 for Select Travel.

If your child meets these criteria, you MUST register in person. Bring a copy of your free lunch or Medicaid benefits or eligibility letter so your child can be considered. PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM.

Volunteers Needed

FPYC is run entirely by volunteers, and we need people to coach and help run our leagues. This year, qualified and accepted volunteers who coach or direct a league will get a coupon for $50 off a player's registration fee. If you're interested in volunteering, or know someone who might be, please contact basketball@fpycsports.com.

You must register as a volunteer and receive your coupon code before you register a player. All volunteer coaches who work directly with our youth players must complete a background check.

Evaluations

Evaluations are not tryouts, but all players must be evaluated. They're a key part of keeping our league fun, fair and competitive. The house league evaluation date will be announced soon. The schedule for each house league will be posted on the House Evaluation page once our gym space is finalized.

Once your player is registered, online or at the Clubhouse, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR YOUR LEAGUE'S EVALUATION SESSION. At the session, all of the league's coaches watch the players so they can pick teams in a draft. Registered players who attend their league's evaluation session are guaranteed a spot on a team. Players who miss it must be evaluated by the League Director at the Director's convenience and may be placed on a waiting list.

Code of Conduct

Please always remember that this is a family and community league. We expect parents to cheer for both teams at every game, including select games, and to behave like responsible adults and fans. We expect coaches to set the example and to manage their parents at each game.

Anyone who is disrespectful to referees, players, coaches or other parents will be removed from the gym. This will most likely mean being banned from all games and practices for the rest of the season. Let's remember how important good sportsmanship is to FPYC.
